On Downtime and Demesnes (Basic D&D) by Hack & Slash Publishing

Used this for alternatives to Shadowdark’s carousing rules. Chock full of ideas on downtime, includes random outcome tables for piety, carousing, gambling, pit fighting, crafting, and a whole slew of other options. Great book to get ideas going.

Play Time: Multiple sessions, downtime segment at end. Good quality and price.

General Thoughts: Used this for my Shadowdark campaign to provide a plethora of alternate downtime activities. Good marks, well laid out book with a ton of options. Also includes crafting and simple alchemy rules, which I haven’t delved into. Fairly system neutral (written for Basic D&D), I’m generally able to adapt things with minimal effort.
