Summary
A group of adventurers embarked on a quest commissioned by a hobbit occultist, Afuri Milespan, whose dreams of a four-armed silver goddess haunted them. The party consisted of Blurgan (mutated wizard’s apprentice), Elmar (newly graduated elf), Gerrick (dockworker turned adventurer), and Dunger Stoutheart (melancholic dwarf warrior). Their journey led them into a subterranean dungeon with brass walls, where they immediately encountered Skeletal Dogs controlled by Elmar’s magical horn, and discovered rooms containing peculiar human-shaped bells along with traces of small, barefooted creatures.
The adventurers delved deeper into the dungeon, navigating through an area filled with mysterious waters and magical phenomena. They discovered a black tapestry that served as a portal and a staircase that led to an elevated position above the water, where they also located a boat. The party’s spellcasting produced strange effects in this area, and they carefully deliberated on the safest method to traverse the water-filled chamber while maintaining control over the Skeletal Dogs.
The party encountered a Halfling Mob performing a ritual around a silver statue in a flooded chamber. The situation quickly escalated into combat when a Skeletal Serpent emerged from the waters, which the party defeated before observing the cultists marking the statue with red and black ink. A fierce battle erupted, featuring intense magical duels between spellcasters while the warriors engaged the cultists in close combat.
The confrontation reached its climax as one cultist was completely evaporated by a spell, while another aged rapidly before their eyes. During the battle, Blurgan experienced a mutation that caused their feet to grow even larger. The Halfling Mob fled in terror when confronted with the Skeletal Dogs, and the party ultimately prevailed against the Cultist Leader, securing both the silver idol and a mysterious magical bottle.
The victory was short-lived when the magical bottle, revealed to be a decanter connected to the elemental plane of water, catastrophically malfunctioned. The item began spewing hundreds of gallons per minute of vomit and urine before shattering, creating an unbound elemental vortex. In a tragic turn of events, Elmar failed to escape and was swept away by the disgusting flood, losing their life in the process. The surviving party members fled the dungeon and later returned to town, where they received their payment and discussed their experiences and future adventures. However, they mourned the loss of their companion.
