
Summary

The group decided to delve into the lower levels of the temple, where they had previously discovered a mithral bracelet, passing through an iron gate adorned with intricate carved murals.
As they made their way deeper into the temple, they encountered an eerie black mist that seeped through the walls. The party carefully navigated through the grand hall with pressure-sensitive tiles that threatened to trigger unknown dangers. Their exploration led them to multiple chambers where they discovered sleeping elven maidens in various states of preservation.
In one of these chambers, they encountered Kethra Sommeroath, a paladin of Yaloss who had been sleeping for centuries. The interaction was tense, but they managed to negotiate with her, providing her with a torch before she departed from the temple. Shortly after, the party faced off against three ghoulish creatures that had been feeding on the remains of another unfortunate maiden, defeating them in combat.
The group’s greatest challenge came in the form of Jasper of Ramlaat, a fearsome demon-like entity that wielded endless javelins. After a fierce battle, they emerged victorious against this powerful foe. Their triumph was witnessed by the spirit of Alorna Sommeroath, who briefly possessed Richard before peacefully dissipating, satisfied that Jasper of Ramlaat had been defeated.
The expedition proved fruitful as the party discovered several valuable magical items, including enchanted chainmail and a mithral sword. Upon their return to Pitden, they divided their hard-won treasures among themselves. The adventure concluded with some well-deserved celebration as they caroused with the local thieves’ guild, while Richard took the opportunity to forge an alliance with Kethra Sommeroath at the local temple.

A flitting shadow in the shape of a human that formed from the mist and confronted the party in the ballroom.
Jasper of Ramlaat
A hulking ogre-like demon with orange-red skin, no eyes, and a horizontal slash for a mouth framed by barbed tusks. Could speak in all languages simultaneously and wielded endless magical javelins from a quiver. A powerful entity that the party eventually defeated.
Kethra Sommeroath
An ancient elven paladin of Yaloss found sleeping on a plinth. Upon awakening from magical slumber, she was initially hostile and distrustful toward the party for tomb robbing, but became an ally after learning they opposed Ramlaat and defeated the Jasper. She left with their lantern.
Alorna Sommeroath
Spirit of an elven paladin who briefly possessed Richard. She found peace and was satisfied that her oath to stop Ramlaat was fulfilled when she learned the party had defeated the Jasper.
Ghoulish Creatures
Three undead beings that had been feeding on the remains of Lassan Sommeroath, speaking only of hunger in Elvish before being destroyed by the party
