Pathfinder’s new rules system offers detailed mechanics and a classic high fantasy experience, focusing on tactical combat akin to D&D 4E. Character creation is challenging, especially for new players. While it excels in combat, role-playing is secondary. Overall, it’s a tactical game best suited for maps and minis usage.

Warlock! from Fire Ruby Designs
The post discusses the gameplay experience of Warlock!, a grim British RPG set in the Warhammer Empire. While the easy mechanics allowed players to quickly grasp the system, frustration emerged due to unfortunate dice rolls. Ultimately, not everyone enjoyed the harsh nature of Warlock!, leading to mixed feelings among players.

GameMastery Chase Cards Deck from Paizo
These chase cards contain a series of obstacles and events for use in a fantasy RPG chase scene. While intended to be used for Pathfinder 1, I’ve successfully used them several times for Savage Worlds Pathfinder. I think these would also work for Shadowdark without much modification, and plan on trying this when appropriate.

Pathfinder Module: Masks of the Living God by Paizo
I ran Masks of the Living God for my Savage Worlds Pathfinder campaign, adapting it for a mountainous city. While it was fun, the module itself is surprisingly rigid for an urban adventure. It required a lot of improvised story elements to run without railroading the group.

Seasons in Shadow for Shadowdark RPG by Gaffer Games
We use Seasons of Shadow in our Shadowdark West Marches campaign as an alternative to carousing after adventures. So far, several good storylines have come from the supplement. It is available as pay what you want (PWYW) on Itch.io.

Adventure Framework 67: Sky Tower of Belk Xos From Pickpocket Press
(SPOILERS AHEAD) I ran the Sky Tower of Belk Xos for my Shadowdark campaign. The sky tower was located in a mountain range north-northeast of the main city in the region. Pickpocket Press’s work impressed me with a cleanly formatted, easy to adapt and run adventure, available for free.
