Swyvers – The Bells of St Evenage, Ep. 3

Interrogating the cult leader got us information about demons, especially the one he was serving, and he gave us a ticket to her lazy boat ride.

While attempting to conjure a spirit, Maisie-Faye finds a very dour man called Vincent and convinced herself that he is what she summoned, and he goes along with it because he’s dead inside.

Clementine spots a squad of police approaching the church, and his necromancer claws start to rattle, he realizes that the claws are sensing the lich and spots that lich among the cops. The three of them grab the phylactery from Nobby and attempt to flee through a big tree that Vincent had used to enter the piranha surrounded island from the Midden, hoping to lure the cops and the lich away from the church since they are tracking the phylactery.

In the midden they found a sacrificial altar with dried blood on it. Maisie cut herself over it, making it sizzle with magic. Vincent decided to lick the blood “for information.” He learned that strange blood can give you an STD that blinds you and makes you cry blood.

So we kept going into town from the Midden where we lost the cops. Went and cured the STD. Then looked for missing children posters. We only found several posters for one kid. We told the parents where the kid was and they gave enough money to get Victor a good sword. The kids dad went off to the church. We have no idea how it went for him.

Cops accosted us because of Vincent’s sword and Maisie lied and said they got it from the lich attacking people, since they remembered the public incident they took a large bribe and went the way we said the lich was. The cop is now a weak ally because I over-bribed him.

That out of the way, we went to the ride. Maisie and Vincent fell unconscious due to some kind of magic. Clementine woke them up and told everyone to find a way to keep their minds active. He sings a prison song as his method, Vincent tries to think happy thoughts which is a great mental exercise for him.
When they get to the ticket booth, the workers try to turn them away because only one of them has a ticket. Maisie succeeded at convincing them Vincent is a ghost and doesn’t need one. She was going to leave Clementine to figure it out, but on “second thought”, she’s going to use her forgery workshop to make more tickets.
